4 Ways to Creatively Style Your Plants

Hello friends!

Now that the holiday season is over all we can think about is springtime, plants and flowers. It is a long way away until we are back in our garden, but that is why we love having our indoor plants.

This year we may even branch out to planting up some blubs to have in the house while we wait for spring to come to our outside garden. Have you had bulbs in your house? Let us know how it went in the comments!

Anyways, back to indoor plants. Hehe. We have only been plant parents for almost two years and are still learning so much about them. One thing we enjoy the most about having plants around is styling them.

There are so many different ways you can place plants in your house and I’m sure we haven’t tried them all yet. These four are our favorite, tried and tested spots to put plants throughout our home. Now we get to share them with you!

1. Around Your Kitchen Sink

Since our kitchen sink is not in front of a window, we thought it would be fun to add low light tolerant plants around the sink. It creates a natural divide, adds texture to the island and of course some lovely green color. It also makes it super easy to water those plants!

2. On Your Mantel

As soon as I put plants on our mantel something just clicked! I loved how they softened the lines, brought some color to the space and depending on the plant you choose it can add some drama. We went for plants that trail along the mantel and that, of course, do not need much watering.

3. Surrounding Your Tub

We have a much bigger idea of what we would like to do with our plants around the bathtub but right now we have a few bigger plants surrounding the tub. They help soften the lines of the tub and create a stunning oasis when you are soaking in the bathtub.

4. Above an Accent Chair

In our bedroom we have an accent chair that makes a large statement against the green walls. We decided that it needed to have lots of different textures of plants to help blend the harsh lines of the accent chair against the wall. We placed plants at different levels so that helps soften the height of the chair.

Do you have a bunch of plants in your home? Do you have a favorite way of styling them?
